Bernadette Peters

 Bernadette Peters, also known as Lazzara was born on February 28 the 28th of February, 1948. She is an American performer, actress, and author of children's books. Over a career spanning more than six decades, she has appeared in the musical theatre, on television and in film, as well as performed in her own concerts, and released recordings. The critically acknowledged as a Broadway performer she has been awarded seven Tony Awards nominations, winning two (plus an honorary award) and nine Drama Desk Award nominations. She received three. Grammy Awards have been won in four of the Broadway casting albums that she has appeared in.



 



 Peters is widely regarded as the most well-known interpreter of the works written by Stephen Sondheim. Her roles on Broadway include Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (84), Song and Dance (1985), Into the Woods with George (87), The Goodbye Girl(93), Annie Get Your Gun 1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2009), Follies (2011) and Hello, Dolly (2018).
